Every Sunday we celebrate the miracle of Christ's resurrection over death,the devil,and the grave. In the Divine Service,our worship is centered in God's action toward us in Jesus Christ. For this reason the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod calls the chief service "The Divine Service". It is "Divine" because chiefly,in this Service,GOD,THE DIVINE ONE revealed in Jesus Christ,comes to us through His Word and Sacraments,through which "means of grace" He conveys to us the free gift of forgiveness of sins,and "where there is forgiveness of sins,there is also life and salvation" |
